In rock n roll music, you often hear discussions about great producers.  This seems to be less so in Country Music.  If there is a first ballot hall-of-fame Country Music producer it would have to be Roy Dea.  Dea was the producer of record for Gary Stewart, Tom T. Hall, Johnny Rodriguez, and Steve Young.  He also worked with Bobby Bare ("How I Got To Memphis"), Dickey Lee ("9,999,999 Tears"), and country Jerry Lee Lewis.

I knew Roy Dea through his son Dan growing up. What is his son Dan doing these days, I've known the Dea's since I was about 16 years old. I have lost touch with Dan 20 years ago.I knew he married and had kids but have never seen or heard about him since.I have seen an old friend of ours (Buddy) Richard Hill but would love to see or hear from my friend Dan.I just hope he is well and happy. Just tell Dan that his old friend Pam Chessor (Jones) says hello.

Hi Diane. Rest assured Dan (me) is doing just fine. I joined the Navy in 1981 and traveled the world (on a slow boat) for 4 years. I am currently living in Westminster, Colorado, but, am considering moving back to Tennessee in the near future. The 1970's......are those days gone for good? Do you still have the Pinto??

It is me, Dan. After getting out of the Navy in 1985, I stuck around Nashville until 1996, and then moved to Colorado to try to further my career, where I now live with my wife, son, and daughter. We are considering moving back to the Tennessee area in the near future. I married in 1984, and we have been together since. I have a 22 year old son, and an 18 year old daughter. I have been working at IBM since 1991.

        Hi Dan,
This is Elaina Dillon Ryan from Nashville, Tn. I came across this site and found your name just thought I would see if you went to Apollo Jr. and Antioch High School.
I saw on the site that you were thinking about moving back to Nashville. Guess what...I sell realestate.
According to what you posted it sounds like you may be the Dan I knew from school.
If so give a buzz back.
