Interesting Times In Country Music

These sure are interesting times in Country Music.  Right now on the charts, along with the usual suspects, we have Hank Jr, Merle Haggard, Bon Jovi, and John Corbett.  Meanwhile, Michelle Branch's band "The Wreckers" is going for adds alongside Cross Canadian Ragweed.  If anybody makes one of those "country music... it all sounds the same to me" comments sock 'em in the nose and start hollering "I Play Chicken With The Train".  After years of the hat acts, now we have top hat acts.  There's probably more than a few Nashville A & R types these days hiding in the closet clutching their autographed Reba 8 x 10's while softly murmuring the lyrics to "This One's For The Girls".  Personally, I'll wait until I hear Kevin Fowler on Jeff Foxworthy's country countdown before I declare the dawning of some sort of new age but these sure are interesting times.
